There are some passages of the Bible I don’t understand why they’re not preached or memorized or mentioned more often.
Case in point. I preached for the whole congregation (I do this roughly once every two months) this past Sunday on grace. You don’t want to mess up a sermon on grace, so I did substantially more study/reading for this sermon than I do most. During my study one verse just absolutely jumped out at me.
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Just stop and think about this:
…in ALL THINGS
…at ALL TIMES
…having ALL that you NEED
YOU WILL ABOUND in EVERY good WORK
This verse is a game changer. It removes all excuses for living a mediocre, safe life. There’s no excuse for anxiety or timidity. There’s no reason to fall to addictions.
In every situation, in all things, at all times, we have ALL THE GRACE WE NEED for EVERY GOOD WORK.
